The case concerned the attempted premeditated murder of a family member under aggravating circumstances; I.T., a citizen of Georgia, applied to the Center for help. He was acquitted of 11 offenses under Article 19, 109 of the Criminal Code of Georgia (attempted manslaughter in aggravating circumstances against a family member) and convicted under Article 122 of the Criminal Code of Georgia (serious or less serious damage to health beyond the scope of necessary repulsion) Provided for in the commission of a crime. He was sentenced to one year of imprisonment and was released from serving his sentence in accordance with the Law of Georgia on Amnesty, and was returned to his family on the day of the verdict.
